Ever wanted to explore the terrain park? This lesson program is the perfect place to start! Our park-certified instructors will help build your skills and your confidence on jumps, rails, and boxes in our parks. This program is for ages 18+.
INTRO PROGRAM:
Designed for those new to the terrain park, this program focuses on building the fundamental skills needed to safely progress. Most sessions will take place in the small park (Grom/River Run) and include:
• Learning key skills on small jumps, boxes, tubes, and rails
• Developing switch riding techniques (riding opposite foot forward for snowboarders)
• Understanding terrain park etiquette and safety
• Progressing to the Progression Park for an introduction to larger features
PROGESSION PROGRAM:
For riders with prior terrain park experience looking to refine their technique and advance their skills. This program takes place in the Progression Park (Route 27) and includes:
• Riding medium and large jumps, boxes, rails, and tubes
• Learning new tricks such as spins and grabs
• Safely building up to new features and techniques
• Developing confidence to continue progressing beyond the program
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least a Level 4 or Level 5 as described below:
Level 4: Significant experience
• Terrain: Comfortable on blue runs and have tried some black diamond runs.
• Lifts: Easily handles chair and T-bar.
• Technique: Consistently performs S-turns with control and confidence.
• Goal: Refine technique on steeper slopes and advance to more challenging terrain.
Level 5: Advanced experience
• Terrain: Comfortable on black diamond and off-piste runs.
• Lifts: Mastered all lifts.
• Technique: Rides at high speeds, handles steep slopes and varied conditions with ease.
• Goal: Enhance performance with carving, jumping, and freestyle maneuvers.
Assessments may be done on the program’s first night to ensure that participants meet the requirements. It is solely up to the instructor’s discretion to determine if the participant’s ability level is suited to the program.
